He is a strong Ruby on Rails engineer and a natural architect. He took on leading the technical direction and shaping the code, and his decisions held up as the project grew. No challenge was too big or too unfamiliar for him. He is resourceful and knowledgeable, and when the answer wasn't obvious, he knew where to look. He is precise and professional, and he holds a high bar. He is also direct. When something wasn't good enough, he said so plainly, even when that was hard to hear. It was always about the work and never about the person, and it made both our code and our team better.   The word that best describes Muhamed is "visionary". I had the pleasure of co-organising RubyConf Austria with him. For more than a year, I watched Muhamed take ideas that sounded wildly unreasonable and somehow make them a reality. His standard response was: "Don't worry about it. It's going to be fine. We'll deal with it." When things went wrong, Muhamed stayed calm, made a decision and got moving. He expected a great deal from himself while remaining patient and generous with everyone around him. His enthusiasm pushed the whole team to aim higher, and he was genuinely fun to work with. Muhamed is a kind and capable leader. I would gladly work with him again.
